Mind The Gap: A Separator
Week #2 Update
A takeaway container with a separation concept that will reduce the incidences of (certain types of) takeaway food from becoming soggy.
Week #1
A takeaway food container with a separation concept that keeps the 'solid' (eg. pasta, rice, noodles) apart from the 'liquid' (eg. sauce/gravy/soup) so that the 'solid' will not be soggy when the food is finally served.
There are times when my friends or I have tasted soggy food because the solids/dry and liquids/wet components were packed together. Sometimes we ask for these to be packed separately so that we get our (solid/dry) food with a texture that is 'just nice' (or, as the Swedish would say, lagom). However, this makes the carrying very bulky (2 containers per such dish ordered), and also feels environmentally-unfriendly doubles the materials being used.
With my current design skills, I believe I can create a product that will address this gap in the coming 8 weeks, and start having tastier food ;-)
