Jack's 10.

1.   A takeaway food container with a separation concept that keeps the 'solid' (eg. pasta, rice, noodles) apart from the 'liquid' (eg. sauce/gravy/soup) so that the 'solid' will not be soggy when the food is finally served.

2.   An aesthetic, environmentally-friendly artifact to prevent wet umbrellas from dripping (instead of the disposable plastic sleeves).

3.   An environmentally alternative to staples that holds thin stacks of paper together firmly: Paper clips can be quite loose, doesn't really allow the flipping of pages without giving way, and is bulkier when stacked.

4.   A beverage carrier that can be re-used/ re-purposed (aesthetically pleasing?) as they are usually thrown away after single use, and this results in a waste of resource.

5.   A scoop/spoon to remove coconut flesh easily without having to break the coconut apart: This allows coconut-lovers to sip the juice while being able to eat the flesh at the same time conveniently.

6.   "DIY xxx-free airline menu" for passengers with food allergies: Typical airline food for passengers who are gluten-free, soya-free and lactose-free is usually the single same bland dish. Through careful formulation of ingredients/recipe that allow on-the-spot customisation,  we can give such passengers more options without more inconvenience in food preparation.

7.   Something to make typical under-elbow crutches more comfortable:  I have been using a crutch the last few weeks but the axillary pad is very uncomfortable on my underarms after a long period of use...

8.   Space separator to give privacy for individuals in a single space:  Most of the people who have to live with their parents/family will know what I mean (I am one of them...)especially in Asian metropolitans where space is limited and city apartments are small

9.   More people are using mobile phones to watch videos, play games and listen to music as technology advances.  An artifact that allows the storage of mobile phone earphone cables neatly when not in use, while ensuring it does not change the form of the cables over time.

10.   Mobile phone cover which allows size-customisation: People are changing/upgrading their phones more often. This phone covers will allow  the phone cover to remain usable regardless of phone size, hence more environmentally friendly (less waste of resources).

Sticky notes.
Sticky notes is one simple idea that changed lives.

I use sticky notes all the time for a variety of things, especially at work and when I was in school, including tagging pages and taking notes that will later be stuck somewhere.

Being thin, sticky notes allows the tagging of multiple pages without the book stretching out. I also use sticky notes of different colours to organize pages according to different people, projects, functions, etc.

I love their versatility in function, cleanliness and also the aesthetic possibilities.

And it would be awesome if they can be recycled easily.
